24 December 2005Single components
Corona and plasma stations consist of following components:
Corona-tool
The discharge occurs inside the corona tool. It is adapted to the substrate to be treated and to production speed. Different corona tools are described on this internet page.
Corona generator (Small and big).
We are calling our corona generators "corona supplies", because they do not only deliver high voltages in the medium frequency range but also control all functions of the corona tool. The required corona dosages can be maintained very precisely, due to the power controlled operation mode of these generators, so that the treatment results are obtained very reproducibily.
Ozone blower
Any electric discharge on air produces ozone. The ozone is vented away with a blower. Electrodes are colded simultaneously.
Ozone absorber
The ozone absorber catalytically decomposes ozone to oxygen.
24 December 2005Potential-free atmospheric plasma: Plasma-BLASTER

The plasma-BLASTER MEF produces an open, potential-free plasma. A controlled electrical discharge – but no arc – is ignited between a pencil electrode and a metallic, grounded nozzle. The produced potential-free plasma gets directed toward the substrate by an air flow. The thermal load on the substrate is low in comparison to devices which use an arc as a plasma source.

24 December 2005Indirect corona treatment : Korona-GUN

The Korona-GUN CKG is a complete station for the treatment with indirect corona discharges. It can be used in a very flexible way, since a counter electrode is not needed. The discharge is ignited between a pair of electrodes inside the treatment tool and gets directed towards the substrate with a minor laminar air flow.

24 December 2005Corona stations for cable

Cable, optical cable and tubes are treated with similar corona stations. Our stations are optimised in respect to any group of application, which occur in cable industry.

24 December 2005Production corona stations for webs

Webs will be treated with a direct corona- (barrier)-discharge to enable printing, gluing and coating. Dimension and configuration of an industrial treatment station depend on the target of the treatment, treatment width and treatment speed.

24 December 2005Laboratory corona stations for webs
You need our laboratory stations to check the treatability of your webs out of the production line. Typical sample size is DIN A4 (21x29 cm).

24 December 2005Test inks to check the result of a pretreatment
Test inks make it possible to determine the ability of your substrate to be printed on and to be glued.
ISO 8296 (formerly DIN 53 364) determines the average wetting behaviour of PE-, PP- and PVC-films. Criterion is the behaviour of the rim of an ink stroke of test inks. The measurement must be repeated with the ink of the next lower value, if the edge of the test ink stroke shrinks within 2 seconds (in the picture: 34 mN/m). If the edge of the ink stroke runs towards the outside (in the picture: 30mN/m), the measurement must be repeated with the next higher value. (Critical) surface energy is the value of that ink, the edge of which stands still for 2 seconds.
